Spec Office Building Lands First Tenant

Word is, the speculative office development Mozaic located in the Uptown area of Minneapolis – has landed it’s first office tenant. It announced last fall that it had a committed tenant for it’s ground level retail space with restaurant Bar Louie, now it has it’s first office tenant to go along with the retail in.

Good news for the development company that went into the project without any tenant’s committed to a lease and the entire Minneapolis office market when virtually no new commercial construction is occurring except for multifamily, Mozaic is one of the only new office products to come to the market in the last few years in the metro area. Uptown is a unique area that doesn’t really have a day-time crowd during the week except for retail. There is not much office space in the area let alone Class A space. Office tenants have always wanted to be in the area – there just hasn’t been enough space to accommodate the larger users.

I haven’t had the opportunity to tour the property and hope to in the near future. I could do it sooner if I had a client interested in the space ;-)
