Loopnet’s mobile traffic grows 6x year over year

As more and more commercial brokers figure out what the Internet is, they are bound to also figure out how to use apps on mobile devices.

In an email today, Loopnet is reporting that their mobile traffic has grown 6x over the past year. Clearly the shift has come to CRE and will continue to for the years to come. But who is actually using the app? Commercial brokers or consumers? I’m going with the brokers as not too many consumers are going to download this app.

Loopnet is still the most visited commercial real estate website per Hitwise coming in at number 10 in the real estate category. I suspect no other  commercial real estate site is even in the top 50 seeing that they pretty much have the online space covered.

I wonder where CoStar’s mobile traffic is seeing that they just launched their mobile app over the summer? Probably not even close as no one really uploads listings to their site, they just have sales reps call and when you don’t answer, they do it for you without even asking permission.
